The Art of Being Together – Exciting Updates

Steelhead Comes on Board as Lead Sponsor

We are delighted to announce that Steelhead Business Products has come on board as our lead sponsor.  Steelhead  is a family-owned and operated supplier of Toshiba equipment. L’Arche had been doing business with Steelhead for a number of years but it wasn’t until they received our sponsorship prospectus that we found out we had many similar values and were in fact, like-hearted.

Burnaby NewsLeader joins us as our Print Sponsor.

The Burnaby NewsLeader has joined the sponsorship circle as our print media sponsor. With the NewsLeader’s circulation of over 61,500 our event will certainly get promoted.   Publisher Tracy Keenan responded to our request because she viewed it as an opportunity to further promote arts and culture in Burnaby.

Jane Appleby Art Donation
Local artist Jane Appleby heard about the Art of Being Together at the framing shop where she works.  She contacted us because she realized she had some work that fit into the theme of  “togetherness”. After a few phone calls and e-mails, Jane came in to have a tour of L’Arche and meet some new L’Arche friends. She also brought with her a painting that she had named “Community” which she has donated to the silent auction at our event. Jane has also volunteered to assist the teams who will be producing original work for the “Art Together” gallery portion of the Art of Being Together.
