We raised over $2,000 for L’Arche Haiti!

Recognizing our friends in the communities of L’Arche Haiti need our prayers and our support, L’Arche Greater Vancouver spent a week collecting donations from within our community. At last night’s Community Prayer a collection plate for L’Arche Haiti was passed as prayers were held for the community.

Core Members (people with developmental disabilities who live at L’Arche Greater Vancouver) and those who come to live with them, staff, volunteers and friends all gave to Haiti, raising over $1,000.

We are delighted to announce that the L’Arche Foundation of Greater Vancouver has matched the total, raising our donation to over $2,000.00!

We will be sending every penny to L’Arche Canada who is accepting donations for Haiti from all L’Arche communities in Canada. On or before February 12, 2010 all monies received will be sent to L’Arche Haiti.

We will be welcoming donations to the community until Friday January 29, 2010. All donations receive a tax receipt from the L’Arche Foundation of Greater Vancouver, all monies will be sent to L’Arche Haiti.

We continue to pray for our family and friends in L’Arche Haiti. Please too hold this community in your prayers.
