Earlier this summer, Ken and Sujit headed off to Calgary for four days. Ken visits Calgary every year as his good friend, Norm lives there. This year it was a special trip as they also got a chance to visit other friends and have breakfast made for them by a famous Canadian.
Here is Sujit’s story of their adventures in Calgary:
We flew to Calgary on July 8 in the afternoon. Before supper, we went for a nice swim at Norm’s. We ended the evening with a long walk on the trail. It was a very beautiful and peaceful night.
The next day, we were invited to Heather and Pete’s house. They have a one-month old baby and it was a lot of fun to see them. We headed off to the Museum of Defense Academy which was very interesting. In the evening, we had a nice BBQ with Heather and Pete. We were both getting very excited for the morning pancake breakfast at the Calgary Stampede.
Saturday morning, we were off to see Stephen Harper at the Calgary Stampede Community Pancake Breakfast. Mr. Harper was serving pancakes so we lined up. Ken shook hands with him and was very thrilled to meet him. After our breakfast, we danced with a group of people on the Stampede grounds. We had a great time meeting new people and hanging out. In the afternoon, we went to Banff. It was a very beautiful place. Ken and I went river rafting for 1.5 hours. It was an amazing experience for both of us. After our exciting and busy day, we headed to Norm’s house to watch the world cup final game. Then it was time to head home.
