Volunteers: Passion. Action. Impact.

April 10 – 16 is National Volunteer Week.

National Volunteer Week is a nationwide celebration of volunteers across Canada – and around the world.  Read more on the National Volunteer Week site.

L’Arche Greater Vancouver has a tremendous group of approximately 50 volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to our community.  They volunteer in many different areas of L’Arche including our day programs, special events, assisting in the houses and maintaining our buildings and properties.

This week we say an extra THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers!  Our community thrives on their dedication and commitment and they are truly an inspiration to us all.  We value their ongoing commitment and are grateful for the individuals who generously give their time and talent.

Volunteer Profile: Volunteers at Emmaus and Neighbours Helping Neighbours

Today, Neighbours Helping Neighbours and the Emmaus Center thanked some of their faithful volunteers: Dylon Nofziger (NHN), Evelyne Pineau (Emmaus) Julie Marchetto (Emmaus).  We celebrated them with a gratitude blessing, sharing tea and homemade treats.

Our two day programs have always had lovely people volunteering their time throughout the year. We love making new friends and are happy that people enjoy getting to know us!
