From Gregorian chants to contemporary jazz and a couple of sing-alongs, there was something for everyone at yesterday’s L’Arche Benefit Concert. There were 140 people present to enjoy the music of the Sheldon Leung Jazz Duo and the Gallery Singers – a record attendance for this annual event.
Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy the afternoon of music and for supporting L’Arche’s Solidarity Program. Another record was set as $2,752.10 was raised for our sister L’Arche communities in Latin America.
A BIG thank you to Pastor James Wittenberg and the congregation of Sherbrooke Mennonite Church for welcoming us and offering us their lovely sanctuary for this concert. We are also grateful for Carolyne in the church office who made sure everything was ready for us and for Fred and Regina who were there to help out in whatever way we needed throughout the afternoon.
Photos from our event photographer, Amanda Wong, will be posted soon.
Thank you again to everyone who helped us launch the Christmas season with joyful song.
