1 of 38 Ways to Care

A few months ago we were challenged to think about doing an intentional act of kindness for someone or some people beyond our L’Arche Community.  The idea came from Caitlin (mentioned in this earlier blog post) and was woven our Lenten reflections and how we will be celebrating our 38th anniversary at the end of this month.

I chose to care by showing my appreciation for the construction crew that have been busy building an extension on to my church, Pilgrim Baptist.  They have been working in all kinds of weather since the project started in December. The main reason for the renovation is to make the church accessible with an elevator and wheelchair accessible washrooms.  We have been hoping and praying for this project for a long time and I’m very excited about how it is taking shape. I’m looking forward to the day when we can welcome everyone at Pilgrim.
